Pe $ \mathbb{R} $ se definește legea de compoziție $x * y = xy -9 x -9 y + 90 $.
Ecuația $ x * x * x = x $ are, în $ \mathbb{R} $, soluţia:

Pe $ \mathbb{R} $ se definește legea de compoziție $x * y = xy -9 x -9 y + 90 $.
Rezolvaţi în $ \mathbb{R} $ ecuaţia $ x * x * x = x $.

Soluție:

Conform i)
are loc egalitatea $ \underbrace {x * x * ... * x}_{de \quad n \quad ori} = ( x -9 )^n + 9 $, $ \forall x \in \mathbb{R}, \forall n \in \mathbb{N^*} $,
iar pentru $ n = 3 $ se obține:
$ \displaystyle \begin{aligned} x * x * x = x & \Leftrightarrow ( x -9 )^3 + 9 = x \\\ & \Leftrightarrow ( x -9 )^3 = x -9 \end{aligned} $

Se observă că $ x = 9 \in \mathbb{R} $ este soluție,
iar pentru $ x \neq 9 $, prin împărţire cu $ x - 9 $, ecuația devine:

$ (x-9)^2 = 1 $
$ x-9 = \pm 1 $

$ \displaystyle \begin{aligned} x-9& = 1 \qquad \qquad & x-9& = -1 \\\ x & = 10 & x & = 8 \end{aligned}$

$ S = \{ 8, 9, 10 \} $.
